Adam Lambert - "For Your Entertainment" (My First Post!)

For my inagural post (wooo!), I decided to go with something a little outside the realm of what I usually listen to. I just found this track a couple days ago and discovered it still hasn't even hit iTunes yet. As a primarily hip-hop and electronic fan, I was really surprised how well I was able to connect with this song right off the bat. If you haven't already heard it, this is a significant departure from Lambert's first single, "Time For Miracles"--the overtones of which emanated American Idol's lingering aire of 'wholesomeness' virtually any way you looked at it. "For Your Entertainment," however, appears to mark Lambert's official debut as a (marginally) independent artist with a clear musical vision of his own. Creative, original, and driven by its pulsating Retro/Glam shuffle-beat, FYE seems to have all the elements necessary to make a run toward the top of the charts. It may not be what you're used to, but don't sleep on this one just yet!

Here's Dashelbsta's video for the song:

What do you think--Love it, or Loathe it?

  1. Wow, catchy song. This is exactly the kind of stuff I hoped Adam would be doing after Idol. I could definately see this becoming a big hit soon.
